Sir Lord Von Raven a.k.a Eric Johnson (Time Flys) hailing from Oakland, via El Paso penned a rock and roll beauty, primed for true souls. Make no mistake - "Please Throw Me Back in the Ocean" is a sinful classic, featuring an all-star cast: Greg Ashley (Gris Gris), Chris Stroffolino (Silver Jews) Terry Six (Nice Boys) and Garrett Goddard (The Cuts, Howlin' Rain). Impediments debut has arrived. Their self-titled debut release was produced by indie rock's woozy recluse, Greg Ashley. With record collections far beyond their years - these bright young men know 'well-done' from crap. Keeping rock and roll louder, faster and dangerous - yet influenced by rock's rich historical underground (Zero Boys, Raspberries, and Terry Reid), Impediments are indeed, refined misfits. Let's face it, salad days are/were the best days - when we know/knew better, but we don't care. Impediments are currently booking their own national tour.
